The following should always be booked as site served:
  1. Amazon direct
  2. Amazon via a DSP like DV360 or TTD should be 3p served
  3. Anzu
  4. Apple News
  5. Eastward Media
  6. Fox Business News video
  7. Gimbal
  8. Google Responsive ads
  9. GSP
  10. Hulu direct
  11. Hulu via a DSP
  12. Jack'd/Perry Street Software
  13. Morningstar, only if the client is requiring HTML asses on Morningstar, the placements must be site served. 
    1. XM can only 3p serve JPG or GIF assets for this supplier
  14. NBCU
    1. there may be special cases, but check with AdOps first
  15. Netflix direct
    1. Netflix should be 3p served if run through DV360 or TTD
  16. Pandora
  17. Rokt
    1. cpc only; click tacking only
  18. Spotify
  19. TedTalks
  20. The Knot
  21. Tremor
  22. Triller
    1. cpc only; click tacking only
  23. Univision
  24. Waze
  25. YouTube direct or AdWords
  26. YouTube via Pixability
  27. YouTube via XMTD
    1. there may be a special case for 3p serving, but check with AdOps first
types of media that should always be site served:
  1. midroll
  2. native
  3. audio
    1. there is a rare case for 3p serving audio, but it's via programmatic only.  Consult XMTD and AdOps at the same time!
  4. email/newsletter
  5. custom display units
  6. rich media units
any other supplier or media type not listed above should be 3p served.
