Ads Creative Studio - BEING DEPRECIATED

What was Ads Creative Studio?

  • Ads Creative Studio was a platform designed to help advertisers create and manage video and display ads.
  • It allowed users to customize ads, manage assets, and streamline workflows for different ad formats.
  • It was a centralized hub for Google's creative tools, enabling seamless ad activation across platforms like Display & Video 360, Campaign Manager 360, and Google Ads.
  • It facilitated collaboration between creative and media teams, improving efficiency and transparency.
  • Users could create multiple versions of an ad for different audiences, locations, languages, or contexts.
  • It also allowed users to experiment with unique display and video formats.

Why is it being deprecated?

  • Google is shifting its focus to new growth areas and wants to deepen its collaboration with creative partners across the ecosystem.
  • Google believes that its partners have the expertise to deliver exceptional customized creative campaigns at scale, tailored to clients' unique needs.
  • For YouTube campaigns, Google encourages advertisers to engage with third-party partners for video customization needs.
  • For Display ads, while Studio remains available for non-dynamic and dynamic workflows, advertisers can also explore external creative solutions.

Creative Studio

Studio is a web application that creative agencies can use to test, share, and deliver rich media creatives.
Alert
Creative Studio is used for DCO.

It has two parts: a software development kit (SDK) and a web app:

Developer documentationStudio SDK
The Studio SDK is a code library includes the Enabler, the core library that helps you add creative features and measure interactions with your ads.

When you build creatives with Google Web Designer the SDK is automatically included, so you don't need to add any extra code.
If you prefer to use other HTML editors, you can add the Enabler and use the API (application programming interface) to load files and measure performance.
 Studio web app
After you've built your creatives, upload them to Studio. There, you can preview them, test that they work properly, publish them for quality assurance, and share them with your clients for review. When they're approved, send them to your client's ad server for trafficking.

To work correctly, the creatives you build with Studio must be served through Display & Video 360, Campaign Manager 360, or Google Ad Manager.
