Google has introduced a required update to CM360 floodlights with new floodlight “categories”. These categories are now required for all new floodlights created in CM360.
What’s new:
- Category selection is now mandatory for all new floodlights and must follow Google’s predefined list.
- The goal is to standardize conversion grouping across CM360, SA360, and DV360.
Key things to know:
- The selected category will automatically sync across CM360, SA360, and DV360.
- After the category is selected and the floodlight is created, we cannot change the category. This is a one-time sync across CM360, SA360 and DV360.
- This list of categories is predefined by Google, we cannot create, edit or remove categories the list.
- Only one category may be assigned to a floodlight.
- Categories is now reportable.
- When requesting new floodlights, you will now need to select the category to be assigned to the floodlights based on the list below:

- Begin checkout
- Subscribe (paid)
Leads
- Contact
- Submit lead form
- Book appointment
- Sign-up
- Request quote
- Get directions
- Outbound click
- Qualified lead
- Converted lead
