Crossmedians and Google Drive access

Crossmedians and Google Drive access

All new Crossmedians on Account and Marketplace teams are asked to tether their Crossmedia email to google to gain access to Google Marketing Platform (GMP), which houses the ad server, DSP and search platforms.

To do so, these new Crossmedians are asked to link their @xmedia.com email like so:

To tether your account, please follow this link: https://accounts.google.com/SignUp?continue=https%3A%2F%2Faccounts.google.com%2FManageAccount

When selecting your username, choose “I prefer to use my current email address”

Once you select I prefer to use my current email address, you will type in your Crossmedia email address.

Continue filling out the form.

Once this has been completed, teams are able to gain access to GMP.

Warning
As a best practice, we never create a user profile with a Gmail account or publicly-domained email address as it is not secure.

Upon tethering the @xmedia.com email to google, each Crossmedian will have access to Google Drive linked to their @xmedia.com email.  This enables Crossmedians to keep their personal google accounts separate from work.  Google Drive should not be utilized unless the Director of IT has given written approval.

Alert

The Crossmedia IT guidance requires using Microsoft Sharepoint and One Drive for sharing documents internally and externally for security, uniformity, and support.  Approval is needed from the Director of IT to utilize any programs outside of the Microsoft suite for collaboration, prior to confirming with Client teams.  This includes but is not limited to Slack, and products within the Google Drive.
